L.A. Colors Nail Polish Remover Pads

Hi Everyone!

Has anyone besides me stumbled upon these nail polish remover pads? I've found them to be easy to use and it quickly removes any polish.  Right now, I only have Strawberry, Grape, and Peach scented, but they all work the same.  These pads do not contain acetone (from what the label on the back says) and that's a plus for me since acetone tends to dry out my nails and the skin around them.  One pad, for me, cleans the polish off of 3-4 nails which I think is great. They are lightly scented and are a bit true to the smell.  Strawberry smells a bit like strawberry yogurt, grape smells like grape, and peach smells a bit like peach but a tiny bit off.

The only thing I don't like is that they leave your fingers and nails a bit oily, but once you wash your hands it's not there anymore.  I've found these for a dollar and I'm definitely going to buy more when I get the chance.  I still have plenty left, but they are worth it.  I have not tried these with glitter polishes yet, but I have a feeling they will work just as good at getting the glitter off.  If anyone has tried it with glitter polish, let me know how it went!

These also come in different scents like lemon, melon, and pear.

Halloween Nail Fail?

So, I'm not sure if I want to call this a fail or not. I did like it when I tested the colors out, but then when I put them on my nails, it kind of went downhill from there. I guess you can decide for yourself about it!

This is 4 coats of Wet N' Wild's 9.0.2.1. Orange and 2 coats of Sinful Colors Call You Later. I like Call You Later by itself, I just don't think it works too well with this. No top coat because I took the polish off soon after.

It reminded me of a pumpkin patch when trying it out, but then it turned into "blah" if you get me.

Wet N' Wild- 9.0.2.1. Orange

Hi Everyone!

So today I have Wet N' Wild's 9.0.2.1. Orange. Hate the name but love the color! Why do I hate the name? Just sounds weird coming out your mouth

I bought this color at Wal-Mart since I really don't have any orange colors in my collection and I thought it would be an awesome color for Halloween.

In the bottle this color is just amazing with it's shimmer.  Out of the bottle and on your nails, it's still awesome but so opaque. I used 4 coats in my pictures and no top coat but you can still see my nails underneath. :(

L.A. Colors Pink Sizzle

Hi Everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I've been a busy bee with work and things. I promise I will have a few new posts soon!

Anyway, I absolutely love this color. It's just... awesome. It's like a pink sunset to me.  Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice! I found this color for a dollar, so I picked up a few other colors too. This is also about day 3 of wearing it, so there is some wear around the tips.  This is 2 coats with a top coat.

What a Happy Leopard!

So, I didn't think I would like this look when I was done, but I was SOOO wrong! I love this! And I could totally change it up any way I wanted, but I wanted to go with a sort of neutral nail. Not too wild. I've actually had a few people to ask me about how I did my nails, of course I told them about Konad! Oh, Konad where would I be without you?

So here's what I used: My base color was Maybelline Ultimate Wear Camel (53), Leopard spots were done with Konad plate M57 in Sinful Colors Black on Black, colored in the spots with Pure Ice Mint Dreams (which by the way reminds me of the inside of a seashell), and always used China Glaze Fast Foward Top Coat.

Peace and Sparkles!

Can it be so?

Why yes it can!

So, I wanted something fun to wear on my nails so I came up with this idea! I used China Glaze Recycle as the base color, the peace sign is done with Bundle Monster Plate BM07 in China Glaze For Audrey, and the glittery coat is Naturistics Super Shine in Daring (Not sure if they make this anymore).  Oh, and of course China Glaze Top Coat.

So, I know I've never talked about Bundle Monster Plates before and Konad stamping, but it's totally awesome. I haven't bought any of their polishes but I'm thinking about it.  I have only one Konad plate since they are kind of expensive, but Bundle Monster nail plates are a great alternative. They are pretty cheap too. Look them up on Amazon, that's where I bought mine!

I took these only a few minutes after I painted them, so I still needed to clean them up a little. The peace sign isn't the best, but oh well! I like it overall.  The only issue I have with the Bundle Monster plates are that the designs are a little too big for the nail or a little small, but I've heard with the new plates they have fixed this problem! I own the first set of plates, since then they have released the second set.

Party On My Nails?

Woo!

So, this is some older CQ Silver polish, but honestly, just use any silver polish you'd like! I'm not the biggest fan of CQ polishes even though I have a few in my collection.  They tend to chip quicker than other polishes.  Anyway, this is CQ Silver polish with Wet N Wild's Fast Dry Party Of Five Glitters.  I love it! It's really colorful and fun and is a great top coat that will go with almost anything.  Sadly, I only have one picture of my nails and it doesn't show how awesome the polish is, but I hope you get the idea!

Ignore the horrid wallpaper in the background.  I NEED to paint!

Sally Hansen Ink Splatter Crackle Overcoat

Yo!

I bought the Sally Hansen Ink Splatter Crackle overcoat polish a few days ago and decided to try it out over OPI's Greece Just Blue Me Away. This is my first attempt at "crackling" (I guess you could call it that?) and I don't think I did too bad.  This polish is just a plain black crackle that starts to work almost instantly. I think it's awesome.  I haven't tried the crackle polishes from China Glaze or OPI yet, so if anyone has, let me know how they are!

This polish dried really quick and this is just one thin coat over my base. No topcoat.

Sorry I didn't take the time to clean it up a little! :( But you get the idea! Love this overcoat. I will deff. be using it a lot more now!

UPDATE: After a few uses of the black crackle, it became really thick and unusable. It also started to dry on the brush before I could get it to my nail. I don't know why it did this, but I think I'm going to switch to another brand for crackle polish. Any suggestions? I know there's OPI and China Glaze, anymore that's great?

OPI Greece Just Blue Me Away

Hi!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you all! I've been super busy at work and I finally have a day off! Woo! So, to make up for it I will attach a picture of my cute "teenage" ducks in their swimming pool!

See? All better. :-)

Anywho, here is OPI's Greece Just Blue Me Away.  I believe this color is discontinued, but I love it so much! You can wear it on its own or over a color. Whatever works for you.  This is a sheer light blue with a sort of purple/pink sheen.  I think it's cool.  Of course my camera didn't really get the sheen.  Anyway, this is 3 coats.

Don't mind the mess up on the side...and the short nail on the ring finger... I hit it off of something and had to cut it. :(

Oh no!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted on here in a while. I just started a new job and I am sooo beyond tired by the time I get home I just usually go straight to bed for a nap and forget the world! I was just updating everyone to let you know I haven't forgotten this blog! Hopefully I'll have a new post up this weekend or maybe sooner if I get some free time. Thank you for looking at my blog, it means so much to me! <3

Revlon Mon Cherry

This is the other polish I bought yesterday along with the Revlon Not So Blueberry.  This polish is so much easier to apply and dries a LOT quicker than Not So Blueberry.  I really like this polish, the scent reminds me of the summers when I was a kid eating a cherry popsicle!

The scent is...well... LIKE A CHERRY POPSICLE! It's not overwhelming, but it is there.  I'm sure I looked crazy all day walking around smelling my nails!  I've had this on for around 7 hours and the scent is still there.  I used two coats and no top coat.  The color is just a basic cherry red, but I'm sure you could add a glitter topcoat or something to liven it up.  I just wanted to keep the scent, so I didn't put a topcoat.

The top picture was taken in the shade outside, sorry they look messy or not the best. I've been having to bottle feed 3 tiny kittens since their mother abandoned them and they can get a little rowdy at feeding time! LOL! So my nails are scratched a little.

The bottom picture was taken in the sunlight outside.

These polishes can be found in most drugstores.

Revlon- Not So Blueberry

So I picked up this polish along with the Mon Cherry scented one (I will swatch it soon!).

This color is a bit of a lavender with a silver shimmer.  I was going by scents when picking these out, but since I saw how pretty this color was, I just picked this one!  I applied two coats and I found that it took FOR-EV-ER to dry. As you can see in the pictures, I messed up my polish a little bit trying to get my camera out the bag even though I had been wearing it for about 10 minutes. It finally dried about 10 minutes later just by letting them "air dry".

I found that this smelled like a mixture of blueberry and grape.  It's a nice scent and isn't too overwhelming.  I didn't apply a top coat since I will probably be taking this off soon to try on the other!

You can find this in stores everywhere along with many more colors and scents!

French Nails

So, I'm going out job searching again tomorrow, so I figured I would do my nails nicely instead of blue or some other color.

I did my own nails with french tips.  I just use regular nail polish, no special brushes or polishes.  I believe you can buy both these colors at Wal-Mart or just buy any french nail kit or just separate colors! Here's what I came up with.

Obviously the tips aren't the best, but you don't really notice unless you look closely.  At least that's what I think!

I used CQ: 416 French Pink for the base and used a Sally Hansen white polish.  And always use China Glaze Fast Foward Top Coat.

I'd just like to say...

A few things about my blog.  I am not a professional and do not claim to be.  I just like to show my polish and hopefully help everyone out when buying colors or designing.

Sometimes my nails are a little messy around the edges of my fingers, I try to clean this up the best I can without using polish remover since it tends to make my nails feel a little weaker when I use it a lot.  Therefore I will edit the edges of my fingers just to make it look cleaner. I NEVER edit the polish color in any way.  The only way I could possibly change the color slightly would be lightening my pictures since they tend to be a little dark because of my lighting in my house.

I just wanted to let all of you know this so you would know the colors are as true as I can get with my camera. Your nail color results may vary from mine, hopefully only varying slightly though!

Thanks!! :)

China Glaze-Sexy In The City

So, I wanted something to match my cute top I was wearing today, so I decided on Sexy In The City from China Glaze.  It's a very pretty mermaid blue color with a green/blue shine to it.  Needless to say it matched my top very well with the teals and blues.

With this, I applied 3 coats just so it wouldn't be too sheer and let my nails/tips shine through.  They do still shine through, but not as bad as it would with 1-2 coats.  I did not use a base coat on this since I'm out, but my top coat is China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat.

I always buy my nail polish from http://www.8ty8beauty.com/ and if you'd like to buy this color, just search it on their website!  This is one of the websites I've found that have the polish for the cheapest!

L'oreal Bijou Crystals B. Brave

Hi!

So I bought this color nail polish a while back at a discount store.  I had never seen it before in stores, so I'm guessing it's an older line of polishes from L'Oreal.

This nail polish is sort of a burgundy/plum color with tiny pieces of rainbow glitter.  I really like the color, but I had a bit of a problem applying it.  I don't know whether it was my base coat or because it may have just been old, but it sort of went on a little thick/sticky/patchy in coating.  Like I said, may have been a bad bottle or my base coat.  This is 2 coats.

(Sorry I can't get my camera to cooperate with me in this lighting, maybe I should try to do it outside or in natural lighting next time, but the color looks pretty true to the bottle)

I found the polish online for $1.75, you can buy it HERE .

First Post!

Hi Everyone!
