Zoya- Gemma

Hi!

So since I'm such a clearance shopper, I picked up Zoya Gemma from Ulta a few months back. Considering it's usually $8 a bottle, I didn't think $3.99 was a bad price. I usually do most of my shopping in the clearance section at Ulta since there are some great buys and some hard to find polishes sometimes at my Ulta. I'll have to make another post soon with all the stuff I've found in the clearance section from there, but anyway, on with the show!

I'm usually not the one for murky sort of green colors, but this one definitely caught my eye. It's a murky green with a blue/kind of purple shimmer. I did 3 coats for this look. One coat is very sheer and two coats fixes that, but three is the magic number for me on this polish.

 This is indoors without flash.

A better look at the shimmer.

Have you seen any other polishes like this one? It's an amazing color!

Essie- Super Bossa Nova

So a few nights ago I was just having bad luck with painting my nails. No idea what was wrong with me! But after playing around with some polishes, I finally got decent results out of Essie Super Bossa Nova. I had originally bought a mini set that included that bottle, totally forgot about it, then found a full size that I snatched up at Ross for $3 (WOO!). Well, once I realized I had 2 I gave my mini to my sister.

Anyway, on to the polish!

Super Bossa Nova is a medium pink/fuschia with decent amount of purple shimmer. This polish could be a one coater, but I used two coats and topped it with Orly top coat. Flash is on.

Sorry about the Primer Potion! I was doing some eyeshadow swatches right before this, so I picked up the first thing I saw. :)

Thanks for viewing!

Baddie but Goodie

So, I think I'm going to make a new trend on my blog called "Baddie but Goodie" (let me know if you've seen this on another blog by this name; I'll change it). It's bad photos of good nail polish. I get LOTS of those and I don't even realize it until I've scrubbed off the polish. Boo!

Colors are true to the bottle, I just take crappy photos sometimes.

Here we go!

This is 2 coats of China Glaze Full Spectrum. It's a silver/purple duochrome with loads of multi-colored glitter. I like the color, but it's a little too busy for me. (Ignore the gross finger)

China Glaze Strawberry Fields with Nubar 2010 on top. 2 coats of Strawberry Fields and one coat of Nubar 2010. Strawberry Fields is a medium pink with lots of gold shimmer. Nubar 2010 is a clear flake polish. I LOVE both these colors.

4 coats of Sinful Colors Let Me Go. A purple/pink that flashes silver and light blue. I love the polish, but it's just so sheer!

2 coats of Spoiled (by Wet N' Wild) I'm So Jaded. Neon green with gold shimmer.

By the way, Spoiled polishes have a bit of a wide brush. While some people don't like the wide brush, I actually really like it. It takes less time to paint my nails and I don't have as much clean up to do afterwards.
